Oh, what a long long long night.......

September 25th, 2006 (10:09 am)
current song: See the World - Gomez

The kind where you just come home and crash.
No wind down, no bevy, no energy for anything but stripping in the dark and collapsing.

And it was so very fruitless.
That makes it worse, to be so tired and to have made so little.

I think I may be coming down with Annie and Helen's cold....
I've been spreading myself rather thin this past week--much on my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I love my job, I'm good at it.
I walked with 30% after tip outs.
But 30% percent of not much, is not much.

*laughs*

oh god, is that really the time?
I shouldn't be awake--but I cannot sleep...
Got in at 3 AM this morning.

I had set the coffee maker before I left for work--I didn't get up with the Boy this morning.
I hadn't the energy--I tossed about, allergy meds pounding in my veins and brain...
but even restless I was far too exhausted to get up with him for our little rituals.

He came back before he left, and kissed me goodbye.
I smiled and curled up.......a fever creeping into my cheeks and eyes.
A few more hours of sleep found me.

The rest of the week I work lunches. Less money, but I picked up an extra shift from
one of the other waiters, and traded my Brunch shift on Saturday for an evening shift.
We should be okay....with bills.

I really am glad to have nearly a whole week of being able to spend time awake
with the Boy. We will almost have a normal schedule with each other for a change.
I miss him.
I live with him....and I miss him so much.

I have today off.
I think I shall sleep, if I can.
It's horrible, but I wish there was a TV in the bedroom sometimes....just for the white
noise of Sesame Street and Clifford and Arthur....Kids PBS calms the voices in my
head.

I can't lay on the couch in the livingroom--it is invested with a level of dander that even
the best meds cannot combat. I must hide away in the bastion of our cat and dog free
room.

Every morning...Kadiddy pokes his paws under the door and Benjamin plays with him.
Any slip in door management and that cat is in that room like MAGIK! *POOF* I am still
amazed by his speed.......Maggie on the other hand, she knows.

She will sit by the open door like a Sphinx.
She wants in the FORBIDDEN ROOM as much as Kadiddy...but dogs are different.
I am learning to appreciate that difference.

I am learning to appreciate lots of new things.

Is there a bedroom TV taboo or just a financial obstacle?

Dog

I guess I could drag it in there....
It just seems so...

TV BAD!

right?

I am the only one who builds taboo, in this family.

*sigh*

I have so many rules.

*head in hands*

You've slept with a TV for years...why screw with a winning formula?
