*Raises a Chin...for Ann*

September 14th, 2006 (03:06 am)
current song: If You Don't Cry - The Magnetic Fields

I'll miss you, girl.
I heard tonight...at work.

You were always more than fun to wait on.
In all the many places...You would show up.
I was in soooo many of them.

I got to meet you many times.

Private clubs, little restaurants, coffee shops.
You were always the same Lady.
I always met the same Lady.

I voted for you.

I would again...hell...I still may.

Texas misses You.......deep deep in the heart.

*tips her hat*

lovers leap

I saw this after I got up this morning. I knew there would be a post from you about it. All I could think was that I could see you doing something like she's done with her life. School teacher, to almost involuntary public servant. In some very good ways, she reminds me of you.

You said that again as you left tonight...
Made me smile.

I cannot believe her "Girls School"
is going to be across the street from my old Tree House.

*sigh*

Where I voted, every season.

She was a rockin' broad. You gotta love any governor who likes to tell dirty jokes.

I'm not even close to being a Texan, but I'll miss her.

Antid0te's

Took a few drafts...

*laughs*

I love it when you say things like that to me...

I started by saying she was a proper tipper, not an over tipper.
But that doesn't translate well into the vocabulary of most.

Words are such fun.

We bang it out eventually...
You and I.

*grins*

It comes to us.

Sure...NOW you want to edit. Where were ya when I needed you to look over the other stuff?

Go for it, send me a revisd draft. This is a first, hot off the presses version. I haven't even re-read it. I needed it done for a class but I know it needs some work.

Caricature

Sorry, I'm in Japan right now.

SHE DIED!? I mean everyone dies, but . . . .

Up in Iowa (or was it Minnesota at the time) I even heard she became governor and I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. I thought she was. The closest I ever came to feeling that way about one of my governors was when Jesse won Minnesota, but I didn't vote in that election. I wasn't registered in that state.

I echo Skids' assessment of your writing prowess. It is envied (to use passive voice, if I may) often.
