Happy birthday, fellow Virgo!!! I got a dose of the medicine you have described covertly in a couple of your recent posts......it feels very head-long into the breach! Maybe this makes sense to you, maybe not.......but Happy Birthday in any case! :D :D

Happy Birthday!
yearbook

There once was a little girl with black hair and brown eyes. She wasn't a very tall girl, and she wore funny clothes sometimes. You'd see her walking down the street, looking at things in ways that nobody else did. She'd see things that you weren't sure were there, until she'd show you what she saw. And then suddenly, you'd know the world was full of magic.

Sometimes, she would see another little girl, walking down the street with her, and she would open her bag, and give her a tiny treasure she had found. Other times, she would find one of these tiny treasures, and keep it in her bag of magic things.

Some days, the little girl was happy and clean, and the world would be lit by her smiling face.

Other days, the little girl was tired and dirty, and the world would seem a little brighter around her, but you weren't sure why.

The little girl had many names.
Tiny Ginger full of spiders, Gin, Gigi, G-chan, G, among others.

Happy Birthday, to a woman that always finds a way to make the world a brighter place for a lot of people. You're a good human... and the world can use a few of those. In a little over four hours, at 6:45, this world will have been blessed by your presence for 36 years.

a song for the lady.

there once was a sailor
who looked through his glass.
he spied a fair mermaid
with scales on her
island
where seagulls fly over their nests.
she combed the long hair
that hung over her
shoulders.
it caused her to tickle and itch.
the sailor cried out, "its a beautiful
mermaid
a'sitting out there on the rocks."
the sailors rushed forward
all grabbing their
glasses
and crowding four deep at the rail,
determined to share in this fine piece of
news
which the captain soon heard from the watch.
he tied down the wheel as he reached for his
crackers
and cheese which he kept by the door,
in case he should someday encounter a
mermaid.
he knew he must use all his wits, crying,
"throw out a line! we'll lasso her
flippers,
and then we shall certainly find
if mermaids are better before or--
be brave
my good fellows," the captain then said.
"with fortune we'll break through her mermaiden--"
heading
to starboard they tacked with dispatch,
and caught that fair mermaid just under her
elbows
and hustled her down below decks,
where each took a turn at her feminine
setting
her free at the end of the farce
she splashed straightaway falling flat on her
after
a while the crew noticed some scabs...
soon they broke out with the pox and the
scratching
with fury and cursing with spleen
this story may be dull, but it's certainly clean.

too cool

Happy Birthday!

I shared a bottle of Stolis w/ friends last night and got wasted. I danced to the Boss and felt dumb and young.

John and I had to get smokes and we ran to the gas station in the rain. I told him that no one has ever kissed me in the rain, so he kissed me.

We were soaked by the time we came back to the party. I kept quoting Benicio Del Toro in "The Usual Suspects" and everyone thought I was funny.

I came home and the room was spinning. I shut my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

good bunny

I'm late, I'm late, for a very important date.
I tried to write for Ginger's night,
I'm late, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!

Once upon a time there was a girl lost in the woods. She wandered until it was nearly dark, and came upon a cottage on a crossroads. Inside the cottage she found three sisters, though how she knew they were sisters when they all looked so very different from one another she couldn't say.

"Good sisters," she said, "I have lost my way."

"If you take the left-hand path," said the eldest, a crone so bent with age she seemed made of dry sticks and cobwebs, though her black eyes were jewel-bright, "It will take you to the end of your journey."

"If you take the right-hand path," said the youngest, a maid so fresh and fair that the girl felt positively ugly in comparison, "It will bring you back to the beginning."

"If you continue on as you were going," said the middle sister, plump and rosy and in that cusp of life when one is no longer young, yet not quite old either, "You will have a long and difficult path, and you will find your fortune along the way."

The girl contemplated these pieces of advice carefully, for when one is in a story and speaking with such persons as these, it is always good to look for the catch. "Where will I end up if I turn back the way I came?" she asked, for there were, after all, four roads leading away from the cottage.

The old witch cackled. "Lost in the woods again, silly girl."

The girl allowed that this was the case, but something about that laugh sent shivers down her spine, such that she decided right then to avoid the left-hand path. The two remaining sisters seemed innocent enough, especially the youngest, and she decided from that to skip the right-hand path as well, having lost some of her own innocence in the woods and having no wish to give up the wisdom she had gained in return. "I shall take the middle path, then, thank you very kindly for your advice."

"Watch out for wolves," said the youngest, though something in her voice suggested that more than mere animals awaited the girl on her journey.

"I shall, thank you again," she said, and left them to their cottage, and their crossroads, and set out past the house to look for her fortune at the end of the road.

Here is where we leave the girl, however, for her journey is her own and her story is not done. Just know that whenever she comes to a crossroads, she thinks of those crones and her own weariness of both spirit and body, and sometimes she considers going left to have it done with, and sometimes she looks right and longs to go back to the beginning, but she always continues down the road she's on.

And she always watches out for wolves.

There's a little present, from one wandering girl to another, coming in the mail -- I'm late as always, but it's finally ready to go out tomorrow.

A very merry Virgo unbirthday to you, my dear! ♥
