The Cat cried outside my door...all night.

August 26th, 2006 (01:51 pm)

No sleep.
Though I must have dozed off....
I watched the clock click from 7:47 AM to 8:45 AM
getting up finally and putting on my Opals gear.

I found plastic cups scattered all over the floor when I came into the kitchen
to retrieve the last Red Bull from the fridge.

I left them there.
I petted the kitty....talked to him.
Washed my hands up to my elbows.
Apologised for having to leave.

Helmet on, chin strap tight.

My friend Brandy at work was 1st cut today, she traded with me.
My head was too far away for me to be of any use and it was far too slow
for three servers...almost slow enough for just one.

So I'm home now.
I just picked all the cups up off the floor and petted the cat, washed my hands...

How does the old story go about "This Too Shall Pass?"

The proverb describes a king or ruler of some kind, and his wise counselor...
When times are good...we must always remember This too shall pass.
When times are hard...we must always remember......This too shall pass.

Does anyone know the story?

b.o.d.

A king of some sort asked his subjects to bring him something that would make him happy when he was sad and make him sad when he was happy. One of his subjects brought him a ring. Engraved on the ring was, "This too shall pass!"

circus

Cat crying outside the door bodes pretty well for your inter-species diplomacy. At least from the cat's side.
