Didn't Do "Ritual Day" as such...

July 7th, 2006 (03:18 am)

But feel as though I got a lot done.

zutroy was still in Town for a little while longer, and I wanted to at least get
a chance to say good-bye, he said he wanted to "Say good-bye to the Tree House
as well"....

I've gotten a lot of that lately.
I really had no idea how much this crazy little place meant to OTHER people, too.

So I spent the day close to home, cleaning and clearing and throwing things away.
I keep the oddest stuff...
I went and paid the last of my bills for this place, laid down the cash and thought...
Next time I pay bills--they will be OUR bills.

Still need to figure out the transfer of electric and interwebstuff...
Still want a land line for my Maw-Maw's phone, as impractical as it is...
Dude. It has a real bell. It's part of ME.
I like having a phone in the house, it makes me feel...connected.

Frankly, I'm making enough changes
without picking up a cell phone
for the first time in my life...

Zoot came by just before Ben arrived, we had a nice visit. I'm glad they seem fond
of each other--two of my favourite men in the Universe. I grinned like a cat when Zoot,
on leaving, turned to the two of us and said: I think you are both the right amount of
Crazy, but different kinds of Crazy, to make this work...you won't get bored.

I hugged my big tall Soldier hard, and wished him safe travels.

Ben and I left shortly after, to got pick up Francis from Annie and Helen's.
Again, Helen--thank you so much, Annie, Truly, I cannot thank you two enough for
trusting me to borrow your loverly Vino. This gift is going to make our next few weeks
so much easier. So much smoother.

When I parked Francis next to Thelonious...Ben came over
and introduced them
to each other...

(i love this man, have i mentioned i love this man???!!!)

They are going to have a slumber party!!! I squealed.

And WOW! A Vino rides SO much differently than a Vento.

Took me a few moments to get the hang of it, Francis has so much more PICK UP than
Thelonious does... but Thelonious is faster. Weird. I could feel the "quality" difference
immediately too. The Vino is simply a better manufactured bike. The engine noise, the
handling...it FELT more substantial. I could feel that it was made well, of sturdier stuff.

But you know what, I really like my little plastic guy better.
He has a little struggle in him, that I respect.
And we were both born in New Jersey.

(I expressed this to Benjamin in the ride up the elevator to the Tree House, he allowed
as how he was not surprised that I felt this way. And then giggled at me. Yup. Giggled.)

Yeah--Could have thrown me on an 8 grand Vespa, I would have said the same.
Me and Mine, we've been through a lot together...
I'm glad to know now that Thelonious can be fixed.

What a Home we will have, Scooter parked next to Harley
DELL PC in one study...
MAC G4 Laptop in the other.

This is gonna be Fun.

thelonius, francis. francis, thelonius.
the slumber party thing was pretty funny.

if you call ma bell, she can probably just transfer service over to the new place; heck you might can even keep the old number from the treehouse.
and just for the record, out of the 4 computer machines i own, only one is a dell. it's a portable that i almost never use. my desktop is one of those home-made jobbies like you order out of the back of boys life magazine.
