I love the moment....

January 4th, 2006 (12:51 am)
current song: WLUW Independent Community Radio

When I get back home to the Blinky Box, and I have my beer poured, my Zippo standing
at attention, a pack of smokes, and my Burts Bee's BEESWAX LIP BALM sitting at the
edge of my screen.......and something isn't there.

I get up, I look around.
What is it???

What is missing?

ahhhhhh.

My specs.
My glasses.

They still feel new, but when I come back here without them, my head feels funny.

Now I can see.
I only use them here, and sometimes to read.
Easier to read WITH them, but it's been so many years without them that I forget.
I think for some reason I need them more HERE.

I have my mail in my lap right now, I am ZER tickled.

My brand new yellow VOTER REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE

My Important News About Telefile that tells me this year I will actually have
to file online--*laughing*--and not on the phone.

A big page of coupons from Central Market........

And something that has DO NOT BEND scrawled across it.
This last one has most of my attention.

It's from napalmgod.

It is a heavy and hard envelope.

It CANNOT be what I think it is.....
can it???

*TEARS INTO THE ENVELOPE*

holy shit.

GINGER LYNN STEVENS IS NAPLAMGOD's LOVE SLAVE.

yes, yes she is.

4 episodes of Mission: Magic.
With apologies for the quality.

THE QUALITY?????

It cannot be BOUGHT!!!!
CANNOT be FOUND!!!!!!
It is owned by a British company that has never released it.
Ever.

Okay, I had a story about my wild adventures tonight, but....
Now I am just sitting in shock with a Joker grin on my face.

I have four episodes of a Rick Springfield cartoon that cannot be found,
in my possession.

Top of that, I just realised that the girl on WLUW is NOT Emily.
Fortunately, she still thinks I am cool despite my Rick Springfield issues.

tugena13, your fellow DJ was very kind, she thought she was supposed to
know me....*HAHAHAHAHAHAHA* took us forever to figure out we were not who we
thought we were.

We both dig POISON IDEA, I told her a story about my night at "The Country Club"
when I was 20, just outside LA.

The Dwarves, The Melvins, and Poison Idea.
I lost a thumb nail in that pit.
The left one.

I still have the shirt.
She agrees I should make a quilt, after she told me to sew it tight--and I said I couldn't
cut the old shirts anymore, they meant to much, whole.

*LAUGHING*

I had other stories when I sat down here, but.........
I told them all to "M"
and once the load is blown???

It really isn't ever the same.
Is it???

*laughs*

Gods, I love this internet.

The boy who was learning to write programs on his Commadore 64
in grade school? He had me lay down on the cement and look up at the problem with
Thelonious yesterday.

I got to find the pieces we needed, off the wall of PEP BOYS.
He gave me the numbers, and had me look for the M6-1,0.

barry_barry is making me learn stuff.
A lesser boy would just be the guy who could fix it.

Thelonious is better now, the one screw that had fallen out is replaced
and the one that was loose, is tightened.

Thelonious is "polite" once more.

*grins*

If it ever happens again, I can fix him--myself.

*WAH*

Had a wild night out, but none so wild as the one I had here.
The best stuff just happens in your own head.

Happens...on your own damn Blinky Box.

glad you're back at your blinky box!

I have so many old shirts that mean SO much! My 1985 Guadalcanal Diary and Camper Van Beethovens especially. My signed Moe Tucker shirt. The SWANS shirts from their last tour along with the "SWANS Are Dead" enamel pin. So many memories made up of cheap cotton and ink. No way could I cut them, though they are only fit for around the house wear...and I do.

Be Prepared

Mine are in a "Toy Box"
untouched....

until the quilt?

I'm not going to spawn.
Maybe some day I will find a kid
who deserves them.

Whole.

Rizzo

I have the ONLY remaining, of the ORIGINAL
50 shirts that Lovejoys had hand screened...
Hand dyed.

Because I framed mine in '94, and didn't wear it.

They don't call me the Historian for nothin.

*sigh*

Not for Nothin.

*HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!*

I think her name was Miriam, she was quite cool...
I knew
I KNEW
that the AIM was the whole stations denizens
but she SOUNDED like YOU!!!

I guess I am not up on my accents--
an old Friend of mine from California spoke with me
after I had been living here in Texas for many years
and was floored to hear me say Ya'll!

Honestly, I wasn't even aware of it.

And all my guy Friends who live in MN sound like John Cryer
to me....*Waves to 433*

*laughs and laughs*
