Annie made me Cry.

November 11th, 2005 (06:24 am)

Show this to her.
You live with them.

Show me your jesus.

I wrap my arm around you in church when we sing--loving You,
your Faith.

I sing loud.

You made me a good person.
You MADE me.
I love the person that you made me.

I bow my head in your church.
I love you.

I cannot believe,
you can be this small.

SHOW her this.

SHOW her this.

I want her to read what Annie wrote.

My Mother is better than she has been told.

She's my HERO.

I know how she voted.
I know.

My Mother isn't against love.

She cannot be.
She raised THIS creature.
She raised her well.

your friend is LUCKY she can't get married... a stupid fucked up piece of paper that is supposed to equate LOVE from a silly fucked up government? fuck that! she will marry her partner in her heart, and it will be so in your heart, and her family's heart, and that's all that matters.

what's scary is that this is a civil rights issue and no one really seems to care. i mean, there used to be laws against blacks and whites marrying. can you imagine that sort of thing being a law now? no. so why is it people still get married, supporting something that gays can't do. it's sickening. i think people should not get married now knowing not everyone has that right equally . i mean, sure there are great benefits, like your car insurance goes down, and you get healthcare benefits from your husband/wife's work, but are these real reasons to LOVE? i say no. unless you are crazy religious (and then you're probably not gay), i see no reason to get married at all. and certainly not until this ignorance stops in america.

commitment ceremonies are amazing. professing your love to someone without the government's interruption, and without the fear and pressure of what a quote/unquote legal marriage represents, is WAY better. so, tell your friend i think she's lucky. she doesn't need (and shouldn't want) that stupid piece of paper to prove her LOVE.

self portrait.

i agree wholeheartedly with your perspective on commitment vs marriage. in our home, and amongst our friends, we are married.

what has frightened me the most, though, and is a huge catalyst for wanting the "american dream" of marriage, is the fact that, when helen was in the hospital after a bad accident, and she was begging for me, they would not let me be with her. i paced for an hour in the waiting room with her blood on me. i could hear her call for me. but they wouldn't let me back. i was not her "spouse".

damn right it's a civil rights issue.

The Sisters

I know plenty of crazy religious gay people.
I would DIE before I would register myself as one would a Chevy TRUCK.
I've no desire to marry.

But I can.
I can marry the idiot next door as long as he has a cock.

IF Helen and Annie want to do this,
THEY should be able to.
Like anybody else.

FREEDOM is Choice.

They don't have a choice.
They don't have a choice.

It is a civil rights issue, and no one recognises it as such.

I have never owned a car. never had a bank account. No credit cards.
I live off the grid......but I got married.

That piece of paper has been NOTHING but a hassle to me
ever since.

It was VERY easy for me to GET that piece of paper.

Commitment ceremonies ARE amazing.
I just came from one.

I still am getting goose bumps thinking about it.

But they needed the paper, to keep my Yidi in Country.

If you couldn't have something.
If you COULDN'T have something.........

YOU tell my Friend, what she cannot have.

Look her in her BIG blue eyes, and TELL her.
Tell her love is enough, the government she lives under
needn't acknowledge her Union.

That is one of the most inspiring things I have ever read.
There isn't a demand for gay marriage here in Australia, it remains ignored.
