Batman Begins

June 15th, 2005 (03:37 am)

I think gev is still sore because I didn't yell out Carrie!
when the MC at the ALAMO DRAFT HOUSE SOUTH at tonight's opening
asked the Trivia question: What was Robin's alter ego in Frank Miller's

I got tongue tied.
Was mumbling it under my breath,
I couldn't choke out: Kelly!
gev said: SAY IT, I DON'T KNOW IT!!!

Okay, not sore, but a little frustrated with the Ginger.

Still....all the boys were yelling Nightwing etcetera...
(rolls eyes)
and the Chic at the end of our 2nd row, was the one who got it.

So I don't feel sooo bad.

Silly Boys.

I was a little confused when he was unwilling to kill the criminal,
but willing to burn down the House and risk killing all of those people
who had been his Teachers and path to his Path.

Of course it came around...but how could he know that.

I enjoyed the scene with the GUN.
We were leaked for MONTHS that this was going to be OLDE SCHOOL
Detective Comics #27 ilk, and our Knight would have one.
Handled Nicely.
Even the Leak.

I give.
The Car is Cool.
I wanted to hate it.

Love, FOX...
When was that character introduced?
Late 80's early 90's....had a Son, too...
(or am I an old lady who's seen too many cartoons?)
Will have to look that up later.
Spirit if not DETAIL were surely matched.

They played the old black and whites.
Before the FILM.
Not "West".........
The ones I used to watch on a big pulled-down screen
in '76, at a Pizza joint my parents liked to go to.
Must have been 8 mm.
The Black and White 1949 Movie Serial.
Here in Austin.
I would take my "baby-alive" doll...
she got her own high-chair.
Just like my Baby Brother...

We ate pepperoni pizza, and drank root-beer
from dimpled red plastic pint glasses.
Sat on long dark polished pic-nic tables.

And I had a crush on Robin.

I'd forgotten about that...

THE ALAMO DRAFT HOUSE SOUTH is my favourite place
to see MOVIES that matter to me.........
(yes...Comic Book Movies.)
They seem to matter just as much
to all the people around me there.
The Ushers, The Servers, and every seat in the House.
When I am there, I am WITH my PEOPLE.

Thanks gev...

That was FUN.

(more later I'm sure...I didn't know I was going tonight...
and I have a dentist appointment in less than 8 hours. *ACK*)

Still....Ringing in my ready ears:

“Why do we fall? So that we can learn to pick ourselves up.”

My pleasure, lady. :)

I now have a new favorite Batman movie.
I'm not even really frustrated with ya, I just figured you knew...
No matter, the movie is what it was all about anyway. :)
Thanks for coming with me.

Dosed for SLEEP.........so I would be fresh for the dentist
in the morning.

I didn't know he was coming.
I thought we were going the NEXT night.

Benedryl and beer in my veins........
I could not drag out KELLY from my memory.

I really, really liked the movie.

He had no way of knowing that the red-hot brand would burn down the house...or that the words coming from his "friend's" mouth were his own and not those of their "master." Besides, at that point he had made his choice. He was different from those who had made him what he was.

Is it worth seeing twice?

(hint hint hint)

I got your message

all is well

taking time for the pain in your teeth is much more important than spending time with your favorite pain in the ass.
especially if your benefits are up soon.

whats your dentists name?

I need one that help get all this shoe polish out of my mouth

Dr Lopez.

And LYNN did my "deep clean descaling" that took over an hour...
digging in my ugly gums.

I take back every nasty snark I ever took at "Castle Dental"
They are nice people.
Good at what they do.
