The Capital of Texas..........

March 4th, 2007 (03:19 am)

*laughing*

A little bubble LEFT.

I love my Town.
She ain't Texas, she's Austin.

I remember when Steven931 first moved here from SF, In the Fall of 1994.
He was on the Green-Belt riding his bike, one of the few things he brought with him?
(duffle bag with two changes of clothes and a BIKE BOX with a $1,500 bicycle he loved)
Over ROCKS, THROUGH MUD, wild happy. He blew a tire.

Someone came along from behind, and stopped.
Had a fix-it-kit and helped him pump it up, enough to limp home
where he could get a new tube.

As the guy rode away, Steven said aloud to himself: Wow, Texas.

The guy riding away yelled back over his shoulder, having heard him:
NO! AUSTIN!!!

Yeah.
Austin.

My Friend is long dead now, but that story will always make me smile.

I hear skidspoppe is dead now.
*laughing*
Oh dear, that was funny.
I could have been that 13 year-old, Skids.
She has my passion for the Story.
Once you are convicted by it, it just drags you forward.
You can't stop.

*head in hands, but grinning*

It is Spring in Austin.
The trees are flush with blossoms, the air is fair.

All kinds of things--being born.

This is not the time for growing, it is the time for POPPING out your little head
for the very first time.

Grinning at a soft sun.

The heat of summer is not here yet, this is the ALIVE time.

When every thing inside you is twitter-pated.
Moment.

Grow later, when it is hot and deep.
This is shallow shallow POP--Bright and thin and fragile and wild.

Blossoms.

A freeze could still kill us all.

But there won't be a freeze--THIS IS AUSTIN.

The Trees bloomed two weeks early this year. (I watch.)
I've watched for years...second week of March was when they came out and up.
Every year for ten years I have made my trek to see the flowers of Clarksville.
Take my little walk.
Tulips up, fruit trees flowering.

We are warming, the place we walk on is going to walk on us, soon....

But for now,
For now?

It is SPRING in the Capital of Texas.

Maggie and Kadiddy are asleep in the room with The Boy.
Tank is asleep in the room with The House Guest.

Ginger is up.
Happy, and listening to music that the House Guest left playing.
Something Cajun that I cannot understand the words to, but love the music.

I have the next two days off.
I have my own room.

*swallows a shot of Monopollowa with a water/grapefruit mit ice back--chaser*

It's a weird little Town, with a weird little house.......with entirely strange occupants.

I think we will all be okay.
I think
without each other.........

We, would not have been.

I live a charmed life, in this strange Bubble of a Town.

It's nice to share that feeling with others.

SHIT.

I've been happy for too long now,
surely I will be hit by a bus!?
(or another Truck?)

Pray for me,
I'll Pray for You.

(The Gals are out to get us in their joke.)

Can't wait for their next punch-line.

*BLOWS A KISS TO THE SISTERS*

Thank you Darlings--

Clotho spin and spin.

Lachesis measure me.

Atropos make your cut.

Sisters, I live in the City of The Violet Crown

Anything is possible here.

"Anything is possible here."
weeds

This is an awesome post. It flows from one line to the next.

I like Steven's story--it made me smile this morning.

Austin sounds like some kind of Wonderland. And it all sounds so fitting, spring time in Austin and the trees and flowers are blooming.

Here in Chicago, Mother Nature plays with us. One day of spring, and then all of a sudden a snow storm out of no where.

I like your life even when the Sisters pull and push you.
