I saved them.

current song: All We Have is Now

*BEAMS AND BEAMS AND BEAMS*

Migratory birds are protected under TEXAS law.

*rocks back and forth and laughs*

Like our Bats.

My nest is safe.
Saved by the law, that the woman afraid of the law.......
looked up when I told her.

It is GOOD to be a waitress, off on a Monday.

HURRAY BIRDIES!!!!

My pretty little guy will be on his perch in the morning...
Looking out for his nest. Never know the peril they were in.

*SMILES*

I saved my birdies.

I'm sure there's something in a previous post that I haven't read yet, but in any case: YAY YOU! for whatever you did.

Blue Open Book

Ping pong ball split, and his mother's coat.
And we have a hero even Peter Parker cannot match.

Flowers have been bred, to his shade of green.
There is a "Kermit" mum.

Jim was clever enough
to distill the best parts of himself...
and leave them with us.

Kermit will never die.

dimple

Laugh not. I wanted to name my daughter Jessica.

If it takes all night, you're gonna be nice!

Too bad the name was WILDLY popular at the time when I was spawning my children. I am not sure about its popularity now.

Gosh, I cannot even keep plants alive.

Lucy is pissed

Sometimes, I wonder why I bothered becoming a mom, with the thanks I get. :P

I can't keep plants alive either. Plants don't wake you up at 6:30 on a Saturday cos they are hungry. O__o

Ah, the Rick!dimple. ::sigh:: Many a childhood hour spent ruminating on that dimple. . . Many an adult hour as well.

sweet.

I met Charles...I didn't know who he was while we were talking, this was in Austin circa 1992. I was the only employee at a little coffee house that also sold whole bean. He was "buying it for his wife"--I helped the nice older gentleman out...

After about 30 minutes of conversation, he and I found what he needed, and he checked out with me with a credit card.

Call me crazy, but I ALWAYS look at the name on a card (and in fact check ID's when it is requested on the back in the signature line) Charles M Schultz.

no way.

I looked at him and tried not to blink too much.
SNOOPY'S DADDY!!!!
I smiled and pushed the paper for him to sign.

He signed it.
IT
WAS
HIM.

He's gone now
and the world is a smaller place because of that.
But oh my heavens,
GOOD GRIEF!
I met him.

Blue Open Book

I started writing everything down
when I was 8 years old.
When I was 20, in Southern California
LA basin...

I discovered Anais Nin and Henry Miller.
Ate everything they had written
like potato chips.

She made all my flailing gestures
to record...
make sense.

And Henry taught me a run on sentence isn't
always
a bad thing.

Achieved

we um, we traveled a lot when I was a kid...
THE WALKMAN was an exstention of myself.

Rick was in it all the time.
We moved and moved and moved.
Country after Country.

He was a military brat too.
Somehow
that was wildly comforting to me.

daddy

Daddy kept movin' round
I can't settle down
Always the lost new kid in town

Rick was how I prayed. I was terrified of heights (and lived in the foothills of the Rockies in El Paso) so when we went on our yearly roadtrip through the mountains, I would listen to (or sing to myself) "Like Father Like Son" over and over.
